COMMERCIAL PASSENGER TRIPPING MOORING VACANCY

The Trust Port of Saundersfoot is looking to award to a suitable operator a new seasonal commercial mooring for the sole purpose of operating a passenger tripping vessel.

The successful operator will be selected on the basis of a sound business plan to demonstrate that they can operate throughout the summer period, and complementing the Ports inclusive objectives, by offering suitable adaptive facilities abroad their vessel.

Equally the Commissioners are looking for an operator who understands the need to work in partnership with the Harbour Team in developing a successful tourism visitor attraction that will complement the new facilities, soon to be developed at the Harbour as part of its Phase Two development, as well as understand the importance of offering a quality family friendly service.

The mooring is located on the backrow which is a drying mooring, with the optional extra of a wall mooring for a tender and an outer harbour wet mooring.

The mooring and commercial operator’s licence will be re offered each year providing that you have operated satisfactorily with the above conditions and in accordance with our Harbour regulations and order.

All interested parties are invited to submit a business plan to the Trust Port CEO no later than Wednesday 31st May at 12:00pm, any applications after this time cannot be considered.

The commercial mooring is awarded to a named individual and not a company or partnership, in which the mooring cannot be transferred / sublet or sold. Equally it would be expected that the named operator is on site at the Harbour or within the nearby vicinity for the majority of the vessels operational period, and would be required to play a principal role in the day to day management and operation of the vessel.

The Trust Port reserves the right to re advertise the position if it fails to receive suitable or insufficient applications.
