Crabbing & Fishing
Please note that there is no crabbing or fishing allowed directly into the harbour.
Crabbing Centre
The Crabbing Centre is now OPEN for the summer.
The Crabbing Centre is open between May-September each year.
A fun FREE activity for all the family, crabbing is a sure way to keep everyone amused and learn a little about the local wildlife at the same time. The Crabbing Centre can be found in the middle of the National Events Deck, and is wheelchair accessible, with safety railings in place. Please be aware that for your safety, crabbing is not allowed into the harbour itself.
What you I need?
You will need a bucket of seawater, small net, plastic-free weighted line and bait bag, and some fish off-cuts or bacon. All the crabbing equipment you need can be bought from Outer Reef over at the Marine Centre of Excellence.
How to crab
Head on over to the Crabbing Centre and look out for Saundersfoot Harbour's resident crabs, who will explain the rest!
Saundersfoot Harbour's crabby characters were designed by Pembrokeshire illustrator, Owen Mountstevens.
Fishing
Organised fishing trips run from the Visitor Pontoon on Saundersfoot Harbour, and are suitable for both beginners and experienced fishermen. See the Boat Trips section below for more information and to book.
